Yes. Sandstories is designed for varied environments — private practice, agency settings, telehealth platforms, and school counseling offices. Individual users can toggle off specific figure categories (weapons, substances, religious symbols, mature themes) to match their clinical population. Office and District administrators can enforce those filters across every license on their team from a single dashboard.
No. Clients never log in, create an account, or pay anything. You hold the license. For telehealth, you share a unique session URL with your client — it includes a one-time 6-digit code that opens directly to the tray. Codes are never recycled, and once you close the session, that URL expires permanently. Your client cannot reopen the tray or access any previous session.
You will receive a clear email reminder before your annual renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account portal, and you will retain full access until your current billing year is up.
When you purchase an Office or District tier, you are given an Admin Dashboard. From there, you simply type in the email addresses of your colleagues. They will receive a secure link to activate their own independent license.
The free trial gives you access to 30 miniatures and the basic tray — enough to get a feel for the medium and how it works in session. A paid subscription unlocks the full library of 478+ figures, the practitioner dashboard, theory frameworks, clinical protocols, icebreakers, session note templates, telehealth session links, and export tools. If the tray feels right with 30 figures, the full library and dashboard are where the clinical depth lives.
Yes. If you need to upgrade — say, from Student to Professional after licensure, or from Professional to Office when you join a group practice — contact us and we’ll credit your remaining subscription time toward the new plan. You won’t be charged twice for the same period.
No — each license is tied to a single practitioner and is not transferable. If you have a team that needs access, the Office tier includes five independent licenses at a lower per-seat cost than buying individually, and the District tier scales further from there.
If you’re not satisfied within the first 30 days of a new subscription, contact us and we’ll make it right. After 30 days, subscriptions are non-refundable but remain active through the end of your billing year. Renewals can be cancelled at any time from your account portal before the next billing date.
Because Sandstories stores zero PHI, there’s very little to worry about. We don’t retain client names, session content, or any identifying information on our servers — that data was never there. Any tray screenshots you exported during your subscription are already in your own files and are unaffected by cancellation. Your account preferences and dashboard settings are deleted within 30 days of your subscription ending.
